Grain Market Loaf

 

  • 1/4 cup The Grain Market Chia Seeds
  • 1/4 cup The Grain Market Flaxseeds
  • 1/4 cup The Grain Market Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1 cup The Grain Market Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 3 1/4 cup flour
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl combine 1 cup of oats, shake of salt, and 1 cup of water. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds and set aside. 
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine 2 cups of warm water, molasses, sugar, and yeast. Stir and let rest for 8 minutes. 
  3. In a small blender combine chia seeds, flaxseeds, and pumpkin seeds. Pulse until roughly chopped and combined. 
  4. To the yeast mixture add blended grains, cooked oats, salt, oil, and flour 1 cup at a time. The mixture will start to separate from the bowl but will remain sticky.
  5. Stir the mixture every 15 or 20 minutes for an hour or so. This step can be skipped and is not required, it just adds a nice chew to the bread. If you decide to skip the stirring, just let the dough rest for an hour. 
  6. Place dough onto a floured surface and lightly form into two loaves. Place on a cookie sheet and let rest for 15 - 30 minutes. 
  7. Place in the oven and bake at 375 for 25- 30 minutes or until a beautiful golden brown covers the tops of the bread. 
  8. Let cool then Enjoy!!
