Good Old Home Cooking
Since the coronavirus has struck and stammered the world, I feel like life has given us a chance to stand back, reflect, and slow down. We now have a few nights at home to cook our favorite meals! Meals that we usually would not have time for. In our neck of the woods, it is still a bit chilly outside. Today we have plans to make some homemade bread and a soul-warming, lasagna-type casserole loaded with quinoa and veggies. On this morning, instead of running out the door with something quick and convenient we enjoyed an instant pot recipe of steel-cut oats topped with our individual favorites like banana slices, blueberries, cinnamon, sugar, and apple sauce. In the midst of something a bit frightening, it is nice to be forced to return to good old home cooking and family time. We hope you are enjoying the slowness of life that has become our immediate future!
