I recently stumbled across an article titled '18 Ways To Use Flaxseed' on a blog called, Don't Waste the Crumbs. The facts hold strong that Flaxseeds are a powerhouse food! They are actually comparable to salmon as far as percent daily values are concerned. Over and over again we hear that Flaxseeds can help with digestion, clear skin issues, lower cholesterol, reduce sweet cravings, balance hormones, fight against cancer, and promote a healthy weight. In this article, I found a few more sneaky ways to add flax into our meals, even without the littles noticing! Ground flax is probably the easiest way to add it to almost every dish. This can be accomplished with any blender or bullet. Simply add the flaxseeds and blend until fine. It can be used as breading, egg wash, as a thickener, in puddings, baked goods, and smoothies. You can sprinkle it onto peanut butter or honey toast, a salad, soup, or oats. These small giants are definitely something to add to your diet!!
