Delicious, nutritious, quick and easy pancakes that are great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Fabulous topped with fresh fruit!
1 cup wheat (whole kernels)
I use 1/2 oat grouts or oatmeal milled to flour and 1/2 wheat. Use any grain you would like - kamut, spelt. Switch it up to suit the preference of your family!
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs (use just egg whites if you prefer)
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup oil
1 TB Xagave (agave nectar) or 1 1/2 TB honey
1 TB baking powder (hold the aluminum)
In blender add 1 cup wheat and 1 1/2 cup milk. Mix for 3 minutes or until very smooth. Add eggs, oil, honey, and salt. Blend about 20 seconds. Add baking powder and blend gently. Pour batter onto hot griddle or waffle iron.
You can "spice" your pancakes up with 1 tsp. cinnamon if you like. Tasty.
